THE DESIGNERÂ

For those who don't know, this is the Eben sword -
the Edo symbol of power & spiritual authority.
This is my heritage.
My
Story
Born in a quaint German town near the Swiss border, raised amidst the vibrant rhythms of Nigeria, and now thriving in the bustling heart of London, I like to think my mixed heritage weaves its way into every design I create. Nature, culture, and travel are my muses, but Africa will always have my heart. There’s just something about landing on African soil, especially in Nigeria, that stirs up the best kind of nostalgia.

After spending a number of years as a digital marketer, my passion for culture and colour led me to the dynamic world of fashion. Now, I’ll admit, I’ve never considered myself a fashion connoisseur (no endless wardrobe of designer labels here!), but what I do know is how to tell a story through prints. And that’s where Eki Silk was born.

The name Eki comes from my middle Nigerian name, which hails from the Benin tribe. Officially, it means Centre of Trade, but growing up, my dad always told me it meant Centre of Attraction. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I found out the truth- thanks, Dad! But honestly, the idea stuck. I want everyone who wears Eki Silk to feel like the Centre of Attraction, turning heads, sparking conversations, and stealing the spotlight.

Every print I design is infused with a story, inspired by Africa’s rich culture and vibrant palette. You’ll often spot a signature burst of orange and fuchsia running through my collections- orange in particular holds a special place in my heart. It’s a nod to the warm, rich, earthy tones of West African soil, a reminder of home.

So whether you're dressing up for a big event or adding a splash of colour to your everyday look, Eki Silk is here to help you feel confident, vibrant, and unapologetically you. After all, who doesn’t love being the Centre of Attraction?

Nature & Sustainability
My commitment to the environment drives every decision, from choosing digital printing to reducing water and ink consumption to using recycled paper for all her packaging. I always seek to partner with ethical brands or manufacturers that share my values. With a strict no wastage policy, I repurposes all remnants, proving that sustainability is not just a mission - it's a way of life.

Conscious fashion is not a trend, it is a lifestyle; it is being environmentally savvy and looking at ways to cause as little damage as possible to our planet.
